The Bathús project describes the life of fishermen from San Benedetto del Tronto, describing how to this day, fishing remains a difficult and dangerous task and is also threatened by factors ranging from climate change to sea pollution, from overfishing to aquaculture, to the most recent pressures for the reconversions of port areas in proximity of nightlife establishments. The San Benedetto del Tronto Navy is amongst the most important in Italy, first at a national level to build wooden ocean boats and then to install their first engine; for almost three centuries, fishing has been the main economy allowing the development of related activities and the investment in the hotel industry. The fishermen continue with their occupation, currently underpaid, to defend the tradition forged in the depths of the sea, and only until there are people in love with this borderline life between Earth and water, the territory will know how to protect its own identity.
